Düsseldorf–Atlanta airmail cover with two Bauhaus stamps

Düsseldorf–Atlanta airmail cover with two Bauhaus stamps

An original postal-history paper object from the collection, catalogued as a international airmail cover. International cover to Theresa Vogt in Atlanta with a blue “Mit Luftpost” label and two 80-pfennig Bauhaus stamps, totalling 160 pfennig. The cancellation is Düsseldorf, 15 April 1983; the reverse identifies Richard Biginski of Düsseldorf as sender. The catalogue dating is “1983”, the country or postal area is “Federal Republic of Germany”, and the visible franking or postal charge is recorded as “2 × 80 Pf = 160 Pf”. Condition is typical of genuinely transported and opened correspondence: folds, light soiling, edge wear and small opening tears may be present and have not been concealed. Front and back were scanned directly with all visible edges retained, without retouching or artificial restoration. Details that cannot be read securely from the scan are deliberately identified as approximate rather than asserted as certain.
